Driver and front passenger dual-stage and dual-threshold airbag supplemental restraints with occupant sensor. Airbags are supplemental restraints only and will not deploy under all accident circumstances. Always use safety belts and seat children only in the rear, using restraint systems appropriate for their size and age.

Audi magnetic ride

Included

Adapt to the situation in a fraction of a second. To deliver the appropriate damping forces, the shocks are filled with a special fluid instead of conventional damper oil, and when a magnetic field is applied, the magnetic particles are aligned against the direction of movement of the damper. As a result, the damping force is increased according to the strength of the magnetic field.

Electromechanical parking brake

The electromechanical parking brake has little in common with a conventional handbrake. It is resistant to wear, its braking effect is permanently constant and it cannot lock. It is activated by pulling the small electric lever on the center console, which replaces the conventional handbrake lever.

Cruise control

This electronic aid keeps the car moving at a constant speed, reducing stress on the driver particularly where speed limits must be observed, when towing a trailer, and on long trips. The system stores and maintains the speed selected by the driver.

HomeLink^® garage door opener

Light and rain sensor

Included

Located on the windshield behind the rear-view mirror the rain sensor activates the windshield wipers automatically when rain or other moisture appears on the windshield, and adapts the wiper interval to match the amount of rain. The light sensor measures surrounding light conditions and activates the low-beam headlights at dusk when headlight control is set to Auto.

Audi advanced key with start button

A key to let your Audi recognize you. The advanced key is identified via proximity sensors in front doors, matched to a radio pulse generator in the key. When approaching the vehicle, the driver can unlock it with the key still in his or her pocket. From within, the vehicle can be started with the push of a button.

The dual-zone climate control system electronically regulates the air temperature, flow rate, and distribution. Its integrated sun sensor takes into account the position of the sun to ensure that the vehicle interior is always maintained at the desired level. The climate control system also helps to prevent windows from fogging with its dehumidifying system, and an additional air quality sensor detects the level of pollutants in the outside air, automatically switching to air recirculation mode when necessary. The driver temperature and air flow settings are saved for the particular key used when the ignition is turned off and retrieved again when the ignition is next turned on with the same key.

The rear-view mirror with automatic dimming recognizes glaringly bright beams behind the car and darkens the mirror glass automatically. Rear-view camera

The rear-view camera projects an image of area behind the vehicle onto the MMI display, with dynamic display elements that show the vehicle’s calculated path based on the current steering angle as well as parking guidelines and parallel parking turning points. MMI Navigation plus

The key to knowing where you’re going. Audi MMI (Multimedia Interface) Navigation features a GPS unit installed in- vehicle that determines the vehicles position relative to a digital map, displayed on screen. When a destination is set, the driver receives route suggestions that are customizable based on a number of options. The Audi navigation system depends upon signals from the worldwide GPS network. Once in use, a driver can confidently be directed by visual and verbal commands. On top of that, MMI Navigation plus includes ten gigabytes of memory standard. The navigations system is stored on the hard disk drive instead of an SD card and allows 3D imaging and other graphics to be displayed on the MMI screen alongside the map. The vehicle's electrical system and existing wireless and satellite technologies must be available and operating properly for the system to function.

Extra eyes for your blind spots. When travelling over 31 km/h, Audi side assist system scans the blind spot areas, plus about 45 metres to the rear of the vehicle. If Audi side assist identifies another vehicle, it informs the driver via LED lights in the exterior mirror. The driver has the ability to disable this feature.

SiriusXM^® Satellite Radio

The Audi phone box allows the driver to use their mobile phone in the vehicle by placing it in the storage compartment provided in the front centre console. It can be operated via the MMI control panel, the multi-function steering wheel or the voice control system. The Audi phone box also provides an additional Bluetooth interface for a second device, allowing two mobile phones to be connected to the vehicle simultaneously.
