How to add your VIN in the myAudi app

1.  Log into the myAudi app

2.  Click on Add my Audi

3.  If you have an Audi connect activation card, click on Add with card

4.  If you do not have an Audi connect activation card, Click on Add without card

5.  If you are adding a second vehicle, click on the hamburger menu in the top left of the screen

6.  Click on the + icon

2.  Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen

3.  Click on Add vehicle

4.  Type in your VIN in the form field

1.  Log into the myAudi app

2.  Click on the hamburger menu in the top left of the screen

3.  Find the vehicle you want to remove and click on the ellipsis icon

4.  Click on Delete

5.  Click on Remove vehicle

 

What are Key & Secondary Users?

A Key User is the owner of the vehicle and a Secondary User is any additional driver of the vehicle. Key Users are the account holders authorized by Audi to access certain vehicle functions and information on the myAudi mobile app.

How to become a Key User

  • If you have a myAudi account, you must create a Key User agreement. Once completed, you must contact your dealer for verification.
  • Once verified, Key User setup can take place within the vehicle, which requires access to a 10-digit vehicle code. The code can be found under an opaque layer of security film provided with your keys at the time of sale.
  • To finalize your setup, refer to your owner’s manual.

Identify Key Users & Secondary Users

There are three ways to identify if you're a Key or Secondary user:

1. Look at the user icon.*

• Look for the Key User icon on the “Vehicle” tab and within the “Vehicle” selector. <br> • Look for the Secondary User icon on the “Vehicle” tab and within the “Vehicle”

2. Go to the User management page.*

A Key or Secondary User can also be identified via the User management page. To access the User management page:<br><br> • Log in to the app<br> • From the “Vehicle” tab, select “All functions”, then select “User management"<br> • The User management screen will display and show a list of Key Users and Secondary Users

3. Search within your vehicle.

Key Users vary by model, so please seek out the in-vehicle location of your Key User status in your owner’s manual.

How to add a Secondary user

A Key User can assign up to five Secondary Users by doing the following:

 

1.  Log into your myAudi app

2.  Select “User Management”

3.  Select the “+” icon at the top to add a new Secondary User

4.  Enter the e-mail associated with the myAudi account holder to add as Secondary User

5.  Select “Add user”

How to create and download a Key user agreement

1.  Log into the myAudi app

2.  Go to the “Profile” tab

3.  Select "Key User agreement"

4.  Select "Verify now"

5.  Review the agreement form and select "Confirm"

6.  Create a 4-digit PIN. You'll use this PIN to perform functions such as remotely locking / unlocking your vehicle¹

7.  Accept the Terms & Conditions and select "Confirm"

8.  Once downloaded, you’ll have access to the Contract ID, which your dealer will use to verify the agreement

 

¹ Sharing your PIN or account information will allow others to access and/or modify your vehicle’s myAudi functions and settings through the myAudi website or mobile application.

Map updates

Audi owners of certain 2017 models and all 2018 or newer models should attempt to update their maps OTA (Over the Air) within the vehicle. Those owners without in-vehicle OTA capabilities should contact the Audi Customer Experience Center at 1-800-822-2834 (800-822-AUDI).
