A bold vision for the future.

Our path towards a sustainable future will never stop until we are completely carbon-neutral. Our commitment to electrification is robust and comprehensive and will completely change the way we engineer our models and how you drive them. The only thing that will not change is the exhilarating drive you enjoy every time you step into an Audi.

Carbon-neutral production

All of our production facilities around the globe will be certified carbon neutral by 2025.

These commitments are part of Audi AG’s global sustainability plan and are subject to change.

Sustainability comes in many forms.

When it comes to our lineup, sustainability is not just switching from traditional to alternative power sources, feature by feature we are making changes that will help make Audi ownership more sustainable.

Making the impossible, possible.

The transition to electric mobility offers many benefits for our drivers and planet. But, we’re not stopping there. Our plan is to introduce new innovative technology that allows us to truly transition to sustainable driving.

Developing a clean battery.

In order to truly transition our planet towards sustainable mobility we need to solve the great green dilemma: how can we make batteries that are genuinely clean.

Bi-directional charging technology.

The idea is as simple as it is genius: the high-voltage battery of the electric car not only is charged via the wall box at home but can also supply energy back to the house as a decentralized storage medium. This would increase network stability, lower electricity costs, and contribute to climate protection.

Envisioning 2050.

We want to achieve carbon-neutral balance by 2050 – from the supply chain and production through to the entire life cycle of our models.

We will strive to achieve this through a responsible use of resources, the systematic reduction of CO₂ emissions, and the development of sustainable electromobility to make a decisive contribution to Audi acting consistently in a more sustainable way.
