Top up or top down, the new TT Roadster brings an element of fun to a car known as a sport driving icon. With unmistakable Audi design elements, the TT Roadster delivers inspired acceleration and performance along with unparalleled luxury and attention to detail.
The look and feel of the TT has been enhanced with new S line components inside and out. The exterior grille and lower bumper feature more aggressive lines, while the side of the car receives S line badges. Inside, the interior is adorned with brushed aluminum inlays as well as S line door sills. One of the world’s most advanced automatic transmissions is designed to deliver near constant power. This is achieved by using two clutches, two input shafts and two independent gear clusters. The result is nothing short of incredible performance with lightning fast shift speeds. Drivers also have the option of utilizing a sport mode and engaging the gears themselves via the shift lever or steering wheel paddle shifters. S tronicS tronicS tronic, Audi's revolutionary direct shift gearbox (formerly DSG) combines the advantages of a conventional six-speed manual-shift gearbox with the qualities possessed by a modern automatic transmission.S tronic ® also facilitates a launch control program for optimal acceleration from standstill.
The legendary quattro®quattro®Audi quattro® permanent all-wheel drive, has had over a 30-year-long tradition.quattro® system offers sure-footed traction and enhanced driving performance. With the ability to send 100 per cent of the drive torque to the front or rear axle, it can instantaneously adjust to the driver’s needs, depending on road or driving conditions. The quattro® all-wheel drive system gives the car superb driveability, high acceleration capability, and outstanding cornering and handling stability.
The principle of intelligent lightweight design is employed to particularly good effect in a sports car such as the TT Roadster. The Audi Space Frame® (ASF®ASF®The Audi A8 is the first North American car with an aluminum body built according to the Audi Space Frame® principle. ASF® ) offers high body rigidityRigiditySufficiently high static and dynamic body stiffness are prerequisites for many desirable vehicle characteristics.Rigidity and strength thanks to its composite construction using aluminum and steel. The ASF® helps achieve body shell weight reduction upwards of 48 per cent (approx. 100 kg) compared to conventional steel. This also improves the car’s overall weight distribution and handling characteristics, on top of the increased performance and efficiency.
The Audi TT comes standard with fine Nappa leather seats. Several interior colour choices are available from Magma red to Titanium grey, and many other colours. This type of leather is coloured through and resistant to light. Maintenance is made easy due to its exceptional durability and ease of cleaning.
High intensity discharged xenon headlamps are standard on the TT Roadster and are accompanied by LED daytime running lights. A total of 24 LED clusters give your Audi instant recognition on the road. The strip-pattern LED daytime running lights are 20 times more efficient than using dipped-beam headlights as daytime running lights.
The rear spoiler improves vehicle handling and driver control. On the TT Roadster, the standard power rear spoiler can be set with automatic or manual operation. Under automatic mode, the spoiler will deploy at 120 kph. It will then automatically retract at 80 kph thereafter. However, the driver can choose to manually deploy and retract the spoiler whenever they wish.
Designed with special noise dampening properties, the TT Roadster offers a top constructed of canvas, lightweight aluminum and steel. When the roof is up, road and wind noise are dramatically reduced on the inside, giving a convincing feeling that this is not a car with a retractable roof. The roof can be opened and closed with the simple push of a button and closure can take place at speeds under 50 kph.
