2013 Audi A8L W12Highlights
The A8L W12 is the epitome of the Vorsprung durch Teknik mantra. Its cabin offers a host of unmatched creature comforts including fully adjustable, ventilated and reclining seats. 500 hp, 6.3L W12 engine
The engine is known as the W12 because of its unusual layout: it has four rows of three cylinders. This architecture makes the W12 engine exceptionally compact: shorter than a V8. At 500 hp, it delivers sports car performance with an exceptionally smooth and quiet ride. Thanks to engineering refinements and a smooth shifting 8 speed tiptronic®Tiptronic®Tiptronic, which is available with six speeds, features Dynamic Shift Program (DSP), key lock, and shift lock.Tiptronic® transmission, the W12 also sets new standards for fuel consumption.

Audi Parking System emits an intermittent warning tone to indicate how far the car is from an obstacle. As the distance decreases, the warning tone becomes faster. It first sounds when the car is a little over 5 feet from the obstacle, becoming continuous when only 8 inches remain. The Rear Audi parking system switches on automatically when the vehicle is in reverse. Includes both rear camera and top view camera.
LED Headlights with Highbeam Assistant System
Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have a whole series of technical advantages over conventional bulbs, the most important being their activation speed and their long service life. If a trailing driver can notice the brake lights of the leading car sooner, that driver’s reaction time can be quickened, potentially resulting in a shorter stopping distance and/or avoiding an accident. LEDs can last an entire vehicle lifetime, consume up to 50 percent less energy and take up less space. The A8 uses LEDs for headlights, rear light functions (tail lights, brake lights, turn signal indicators), in the side turn indicators, daytime running lights, and Highbeam assistant system.

Additional rear passenger space and luxury
The A8L W12 features longer rear doors for more convenient entry and exit. The rear inner sanctum offers unprecedented luxury. The separate power-adjustable rear seats can be heated, ventilated and adjusted in a variety of ways: forward and back, seat cushion depth and seat back angle with top section adjustable separately. There is also a fully adjustable lumbar support.
W12 distinction
Subtle visual details distinguish the A8L W12 from the other A8 models. The aggressive single-frame honeycomb grille has a high gloss black paint finish and special chromed horizontal bars. Air-inlets and exterior mirrors are finished in chrome. Front and rear W12 badges hint at the power contained within the sculpted sheet metal. The unique trapezoidal dual exhaust is integrated into a custom rear fascia, while 20” 10 parallel spoke wheels round out the look.

Night view assistant
An onboard thermal imaging camera sees what drivers can’t. It detects people or objects on the road ahead of the car. The first alert diplays yellow and changes to red if there is a risk of a collision between the vehicle and the detected pedestrian or object.
