start/stop System with Energy Recovery

The Audi start/stop system saves energy and reduces CO₂ emissions by automatically switching the engine off when the car comes to a standstill, even for brief moments, such as traffic lights. A powerful starter energized by a heavy-duty, deep-cycle battery restarts the engine in a quick, seamless transition when the driver releases the brake pedal or steps on the clutch again to engage a gear.

Auto-levelling Audi Bi-Xenon headlights produce about twice as much light as comparable halogen headlights, while the adaptive technology of the headlights assists the driver in seeing better through curves. Also available is a full LED lighting system that includes low and high beams.

Cylinder-on-Demand Technology

The Cylinder-on-Demand technology is accompanied by sophisticated acoustic initiatives. Audi Parking System emits an intermittent warning tone to indicate how far the car is from an obstacle. As the distance decreases, the warning tone becomes faster. It first sounds when the car is a little over 5 feet from the obstacle, becoming continuous when only 8 inches remain. The rear Audi parking system switches on automatically when the vehicle is in reverse. Includes rear-view camera and optional top view camera.
