Located in the heart of the German State of Bavaria, Ingolstadt is AUDI AG’s biggest production facility and home to its head offices and Technical Development Division. The site covers an area of more than 2,600,000 m2 – equivalent to 290 football pitches.

The city of Ingolstadt, on the Danube, is the sixth-largest city in the State of Bavaria with a population of 125,000. Audi is the region’s biggest employer, with 32,819 employees (as at December 31, 2010).
